Hundreds of thousands of firs are thrown after the Christmas holidays;
of these a part is initiated to recycling (over 115000 trees collected only
in the city in 2019 have provided about 2300 m/cubes of chopped green
public).
Nevertheless, the show I attended from 26/12/2019 to 26/01/2020 struck me deeply. At first I documented buying films, shooting (with a point and shot) and developing (10x13 cm) in the various "one hour photo" of the ville lumiere. At the end of this sort of catalogue of horrors, when it was the time to select the pics, I found that photography in fine-art print was not suitable to express that message: the medium conveyed the violence of the content and with its strength was able to confuse; creating as a state of contemplation of violence itself. I then looked at the world of photographic error to look for a dirty image. Not even finding in those what I was looking for, I decided to intervene directly on the emulsion of the photographic paper, pulling out the fibers and, coloring them one by one creating a new form of ex-voto.
